Na Pali Coast
Welcome aboard as we embark on a journey to explore the magnificent and iconic Nā Pali Coast of Kauai! The name “Nā Pali” translates from Hawaiian to “the cliffs,” a fitting description for this seventeen-mile stretch of coastline where sheer, emerald-hued cliffs rise dramatically up to 4,100 feet above the turquoise Pacific Ocean. This rugged terrain, inaccessible by car, is a result of 6 million years of erosion carving deep, narrow valleys and spectacular sea caves, creating a landscape so breathtaking it has been featured in blockbuster films like Jurassic Park. This a place steeped in natural wonder and rich cultural history, once home to ancient Hawaiian settlements, and today offering unparalleled views of cascading waterfalls, secluded beaches, and diverse marine life. Prepare to be amazed by the raw, untouched beauty of one of the world’s most stunning natural wonders!
Polihale
Polihale, a place of wild, untamed beauty and one of Kauai’s most secluded destinations, located at the remote westernmost point of the island’s main highway. The name “Polihale” translates to “House of the Po,” referring to the Hawaiian afterlife, as ancient legends hold that the towering cliffs at the beach’s northern end were a “leaping place” for souls departing this world.
Your tour will take us to the edge of the Mana Plains, where you are rewarded with an expansive, seventeen-mile stretch of the longest white sand beach in all of Hawaii, backed by massive sand dunes up to 100 feet high. As we journey down the rugged, five-mile dirt road—accessible by four-wheel drive only—we leave the crowds behind to discover a serene wilderness where the views of the dramatic Nā Pali Coast cliffs are simply unparalleled. Prepare for breathtaking sunsets over the Forbidden Island of Niʻihau and a unique sense of isolation in one of the most stunning natural settings on Earth.
Haneli
Hanalei is a famous north shore town that sits on the crescent bay of the same name. In ancient times Hanalei was densely populated. As time pasted it became a frequent stop for our Hawaiian Nobility.
Kekaha
Kekaha, the sun-drenched, westernmost town on Kauai’s main highway, known as “the place” in Hawaiian, and a portal to the island’s most rugged and historic landscapes. This area takes you through a region that retains the quiet character of its sugar plantation past, where the towering smokestack of the former Kekaha Sugar Mill is still a prominent landmark and the legacy of an agricultural era runs deep. We will experience the longest stretch of white sand beach in the state, offering expansive, uncrowded shores, stunning sunsets, and direct views of the “Forbidden Island” of Niʻihau on the horizon. Though the ocean here is best suited for experienced surfers and fishermen due to strong currents, the beach is perfect for sunbathing, beachcombing, and soaking in the tranquil, dry heat of Kauai’s west side. Get ready to discover a place of natural beauty, local charm, and historic tales, including the site of Hawaii’s only train robbery.
Poipu
A flourishing ancient Hawaiian community that transitioned through the sugar industry into the popular tourist resort destination that it is today.
